Oregon is one of the most forested states in the country and all Oregonians recognize the importance of these forests for our state’s wellbeing and prosperity. New and emerging threats including extended droughts, more severe winter storms, and pests and pathogens will inevitably increase the amount of large woody debris that communities are left to deal with. Better urban wood utilization will be critical to combating these threats and making the most of these precious resources.
The UWN – Oregon Chapter is focused on providing educational opportunities, public outreach, and community support to urban wood industries across the state. As a membership association, the UWN Oregon Chapter is here to connect you to others across the state who are engaged in the collection, distribution, and use of urban wood.
