Far West Forest Products is a family owned and operated corporation. Far West Forest actively works to promote the use of our local native and other urban wood species, that are currently going into the waste-stream on a large scale. Most of the wood we provide comes from within a 500 mile radius of our mill-site and is defined as Local Urban Wood.  Although Far West is known for large hard to find live edge slabs and massive timbers, we also provide finished products, dimensional lumber, mantels, turning blocks, and even pen blanks. Far West manages an Urban Wood Store where Urban Wood Network members in CA who follow a simple chain of custody and follow USRW Certified Urban Wood Standards can sell their lumber, slabs, and finished urban wood products.
