Tidd’s Timberworks, LLC

Tidds Timber Works is a veteran owned and operated portable sawmill and custom furniture business. We turn logs into valuable lumber for customers throughout Shenandoah, Northern Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Maryland. We officially established in 2015 after our son, Jeremy, asked “Why don’t we get a sawmill of our own?” The investment of our Wood-Mizer LT40 Wide hydraulic mill (which handles logs up to 36″ and cuts 32″ wide boards) turned my lifelong passion and hobby into a full time business and turned this retired solider into full time sawyer and sustainable furniture maker. If you have logs or trees on your property, we have a portable operation that can handle the job! We mill them on-site, right where you will be putting the lumber to use. You not only save on transportation and delivery costs, but you also get the luxury of custom milled lumber, cut to the exact sizes you need (which may be very expensive or even hard to find in local markets). In the end, you have creations with a story: sustainably harvested lumber, from your own natural landscape, transformed into your own custom projects. My wife, Carolyn, & I love having our children involved. They all have been instrumental in promoting our entire operation! We have partnered with our son Jeremy’s landscaping company, Bona Terra DC, LLC, on very large projects. Our daughter, Sarah “Flair” Addi, has done many custom paintings on our wood. Our daughter, Sabina Murphy, has done paintings, as well as designed our logo.
